Google Toolbar & Firefox

As many of you know, we were very aware that a toolbar had been developed for the Firefox browser. Until it had been approved by Google, we were unable to recommend it to our classes, because of their statement against rank checking programs in their guidelines.

Google Guidelines

“Don’t use unauthorized computer programs to submit pages, check rankings, etc. Such programs consume computing resources and violate our terms of service. Google does not recommend the use of products such as WebPosition GoldT that send automatic or programmatic queries to Google. ”

Google has FINALLY addressed the existence of the tool and is recommending it to folks who are not using internet explorer. Following is the statement that has been added to the Google Toolbar page:

As you may know, the Google Toolbar is currently available only for Microsoft Internet Explorer. If you are using another browser, we apologize for this inconvenience. In the meantime, if you are using Mozilla, Mozilla Firefox, or Netscape, you may be interested in the Googlebar which has been developed and supported by Google fans.

You can download the Googlebar at:

I WILL DEFINITELY SEE YOU AT THE TOP!
